Travel Information

If you come from outside France, you should arrive by plane at the Charles De Gaulle airport or the Orly airport. From there, Tours is easily reachable by TGV (French name for high speed train) from Charles De Gaulle Airport TGV directly (1h30mn) or by Paris Montparnasse TGV train station (1h) after having taken the subway if you land at Orly Airport. Instead of Paris Montparnasse train station, uou can also take a train in Austerlitz train station in Paris, but this will take you 2h30. You must go up to the train station of Tours.

Some TGV have Tours station as terminus, but most of the TGV do not go up to Tours and have a stop at Saint-Pierre des Corps train station which is an important TGV halt on the Paris-Bordeaux high speed line. A transfer by train to Tours station is organized for almost every TGV stopping at St Pierre des Corps (the shuttle is often waiting on the same platform). The travel time for this shuttle is 5 minutes. The train station of Tours is located in the centre of Tours, at 5 minutes by walk from the conference site and most of the hotels.

Note: The TGV station is located inside Charle De Gaulle airport (terminal 2). The most confortable alternative to reach Tours is to take a TGV from Charles de Gaulle-TGV station to Tours (or Saint Pierre des Corps) station.
